Yes, you can! If you want to travel with your loved one, someone from your family, a friend, your pet or anyone else, just follow these instructions:
1. People over 18 years old
- If you want to travel with someone only a few times during your plan period, Each person has to have an account and profile at Worldpackers and be a member of WP Pack or WP Trips solo plans, and apply for the same host on the same dates! Then just let the host know that you’re traveling together on the application and wait for the host to answer if they have availability to receive you both or not. You can ask if you can stay in the same room and things like that, it all depends on the availability and willingness of the host to accept the two of you or not. :)
- If you want to travel with the same person every time during your plan period, you can buy the Couples/Friends Plan and connect the accounts to apply together! Find out all about the Couples/Friends Plan here.
Note that your host may need help with different shifts, so it’s likely that you’ll have separate daily tasks and may not be working together all the time. Ask the host about that too!
Important note: Worldpackers traveler solo profile for Members of WP Trips and Members of WP Pack is individual. Worldpackers reserve the right to remove double accounts (from couples and/or groups) that are using plans other than the Couples/Friends Plan and cancel already confirmed trips without notice.
2. Children (below 18 years old)
If you want to take your children with you, the first thing you need to do is talk to your host. Some of them, especially hostels, don’t accept underage people because the environment may not be the most adequate for minors.
On the other side, other hosts such as NGOs, farms, or guesthouses can be open to them and are a good place for them to have a good experience.
As Worldpackers’ goal is to promote the exchange of skills for accommodation, it can be difficult for some hosts to accept children. That’s why it’s always important to ask before because there is a good chance they won’t be able to host you. But don’t give up! Just talk to your host and apply for different programs so as to increase your chance of being accepted.
Important: underage people cannot create a profile at Worldpackers, therefore the Worldpackers Insurance is restricted to the adult with a confirmed trip on our platform.
The first thing you need to do is talk to your host about it. Many hosts don’t accept pets for different reasons (they can’t accommodate them, they may cause some discomfort to their other guests, etc.). However, places like farms and eco-villages may be more open to taking in your furry friend. ;)
