If you confirm a trip and don’t show up, then you are a 'no-show'.
This is a very difficult situation for the host, mainly because they are counting on you to help them. If the volunteer doesn’t turn up, the host’s going to be under-staffed and unable to run their business properly.
We understand that unexpected situations can force you to cancel or modify your trip. We recommend that you contact your host as soon as possible and see if you can change the original dates instead of canceling the entire trip. If that’s not possible, you must inform your host as soon as possible that you won’t be able to make the trip (See our Cancellation Policy).
You can find the “Cancel the Trip” button in the opened chat with your host.
The traveler will receive an automatic 1-star review on their profile (“traveler canceled last minute”) if they cancel the trip 7 days or less prior to the arrival date or if they simply don't show up.
