Our community is built and maintained by three basic values: collaboration, reputation and trust. Reviews are important to support the community, making sure our members are well informed by real experiences before making a decision and confirming a trip. That’s why we don’t delete reviews, except for the ones that disrespect our Review Policy.
If you received a bad review, you have the right to answer it to give your point of view of the situation. Your answer will be displayed right below the host’s review and everyone will be able to read both sides of the story.
I received a review saying I didn’t show up.
A traveler can receive a "no-show" review for some reasons:
- The traveler didn’t show up for a confirmed trip: if traveler in fact didn't show up for a confirmed trip; we cannot erase the review.
- The traveler forgot to cancel a trip he wouldn’t go to on our platform: even though the traveler may have warned the host, the trip wasn’t canceled in the platform. The host will still receive a notification on the date of departure registered in our system asking if the traveler appeared or not and he may have answered this notification.
- The host reported the “no-show” by mistake: notify us and we'll verify it with the host. After checking it with the host, we will erase the review.
