To be a host in Worldpackers, the first step is to create a profile (you can do that here) and create one or more volunteer positions.
The volunteer positions must be created according to the abilities you need help with, and you can recruit more than one persona at the same time for the same position. That means if you need help in cleaning and at the bar, the recommended is that you create two positions, one to each function, and recruit the volunteers you need in each one of them. After you create your first position, your profile will go through an approval process and our team will get in touch with you in up to 4 days by the email registered on the platform. At the moment, we have some profile approval criteria, like:
- At least 8 photos in your profile gallery, including pictures of the places where the volunteers will stay;
- Online references with reviews rated above 7 (or equivalent) on the general rate and in all the categories listed;
- A good description of the activities that the volunteers will develop.
We may get in touch to ask you the missing information before approving your profile. We’ll do that by mail, so it’s important to check your mailbox and spam because sometimes our emails go there (:
