When can I receive a full refund of my amount paid?

Regardless of the fee chosen when purchasing your Epic Trip experience, if you request cancellation of your trip within 7 days of payment confirmation, you may receive a full refund of the amount paid if you are a Brazilian national, given that a contract was signed with Worldpackers S.A. Regardless of the fee chosen when purchasing your Epic Trip experience, if you request cancellation of your trip within 7 days after payment confirmation and do not use the services - that is, you cannot have made video calls and/or exchanged emails with the Worldpackers team to clarify questions that are not related to the cancellation of the plan - you may receive a full refund of the amount paid if you are not a Brazilian national, given that citizens from any other countries enter into a contract with Worldpackers Corp. What are the cancellation rules for an Epic Trips Basic trip?
- If a refund is requested up to 30 days before the start date of the trip, it is not possible to receive a refund of any part of the amount paid for the Registration fee. However, a full refund of the amount paid for the Program fee is made in the form of credits on our website, valid for 12 months. How do credits work?
- If a refund is requested between 15 and 29 days before the start date of the trip, it is not possible to receive a refund of any part of the amount paid for the Registration fee. However, a refund of 50% of the amount paid for the Program fee is made in the form of credits on our website, valid for 12 months. How do credits work?
- If a refund is requested 14 days or less before the start date of a trip, it will not be possible to receive a refund in any form.
What are the cancellation rules for an Epic Trips Budget-Savvy trip?
- If a refund is requested 30 or more days before the start date of a trip, a refund will be issued in cash directly to the credit card used for the purchase of 50% of the amount paid for the registration fee and 50% of the amount paid for the program fee.
- If a refund is requested between 15 and 29 days before the start date of a trip, 50% of the amount paid for the registration fee and 50% of the amount paid for the program fee will be refunded as credits on our website. How do credits work?
- If a refund is requested 14 days or less before the start date of a trip, it is not possible to receive a refund of any part of the amount paid for the program fee. What are the cancellation rules for an Epic Trips Full Flex trip?
- If a refund is requested 30 or more days before the start date of a trip, a full refund of the amount paid for the registration fee and the program fee will be made in cash directly to the credit card used for the purchase.
- If a refund is requested between 15 and 29 days before the start date of a trip, 100% of the amount paid for the registration fee and 100% of the amount paid for the program fee will be refunded in the form of credits on our website. How do credits work?
- If a refund is requested 14 days or less before the start date of a trip, it is not possible to receive a refund of any part of the amount paid for the program fee. However, 100% of the amount paid for the registration fee will be refunded in the form of credits on our website. How do credits work?
Cases with no reimbursement possibility
- There is no possibility of reimbursement after completing a trip;
- There is no possibility of reimbursement in any form after a trip start date has passed;
- There is no possibility of reimbursement in any form if the traveler deletes their account;
- There is no possibility of reimbursement in any form if the traveler requests a refund and doesn't answer to confirm the trip cancelation more than 14 days before the start of the trip;
- There is no possibility of reimbursement in any form if a profile is deactivated in accordance with our Policy for the Quality and Safety of Experiences.
It’s important to reiterate that Worldpackers is not responsible for:
- Problems with passports and/or visas;
- Obligatory vaccines to enter your destination country;
- Availability and/or cost of transport to your host;
- Travel and/or health insurance.
How do credits work?
Worldpackers offers refunds via credits on our website for some trip cancellation options. This option was created because we know that some travelers need to cancel their trips for various reasons - but never give up on them! ;)
The rules for using credits are:
- Credits are personal and non-transferable: it is not possible to withdraw credits from your account and pass them on to another member of the community;
- Credits are valid for 12 months;
- Once used to purchase any trip offered by Worldpackers, credits cannot be recovered and reused in a new purchase;
- Credits cannot be converted into cash;
- Credits can only be used for purchases on our own website.
How can I use credits to purchase a new trip?
To use your credits to purchase a new trip, you must complete the usual purchase process and enter your card details. The value of the credits will be automatically deducted from the total amount of the new purchase.
If you have credits below the price of the desired trip, the credits will be used up and the difference will be charged to your card.
Policies by location
By becoming a member of our community, you agree to the General Worldpackers Terms of Use and the Worldpackers Epic Trips Terms of Use, determined according to your country of residence.
Your "country of residence" corresponds to the jurisdiction associated with your Worldpackers account, meaning that cancellation policies apply differently depending on your location. If you change your country of residence, the Worldpackers company with which you have a contract will be determined by your new country of residence as specified above, starting from the date on which your country of residence changed.
