What is the Group Trips cancellation and refund policy?

How much you get back depends on your fare type and how far ahead of your trip start date you cancel.

Here's the breakdown by fare type:

Basic

• 60+ days before: full registration fee back as platform credits (program fee isn't refundable).
• 31–59 days before: 50% of your registration fee back as platform credits (program fee isn't refundable).
• 30 days or less: no refund available.

Budget-Savvy

• 60+ days before: 50% of your registration fee + 50% of your program fee, refunded in cash to your card.
• 31–59 days before: 50% of your registration fee + 50% of your program fee, back as platform credits.
• 30 days or less: 50% of your registration fee back as platform credits (program fee isn't refundable).

Full Flex

• 60+ days before: 100% of your registration fee + 100% of your program fee, refunded in cash to your card.
• 31–59 days before: 100% of both fees back as platform credits.
• 30 days or less: 100% of your registration fee back as platform credits (program fee isn't refundable).

Exception: no matter your fare type, cancelling within 7 days of your payment confirmation — and before using any Worldpackers services (like video calls or support emails unrelated to your cancellation) — gets you a full refund.

Refunds are never available:

• after your trip start date, once the trip has wrapped up
• if you've deleted your account
• if your booking used platform credits from a previous refund
• if your profile has been deactivated under our Safety and Quality Policy
