Even if the host and traveler communicate outside of the platform, it is very important that both confirm the trip through the platform, as only then can we provide assistance to both sides in case an unexpected situation occurs.
Besides that, only with the confirmed application, it is possible to write a review at the end of the experience. This is very important for hosts, as the more reviews you have, the more attractive your profile will be!
If the traveler is already at your property, you can send a pre-approval for future dates, even if the application has expired, and contact our support team so we can modify and correct the dates.
In case you don't know how to confirm the trip, here are some tips:
Once you receive an application, you can go to your inbox to read it. Remember to check the traveler’s full profile, the position, and the dates they applied for.
You can answer in 3 different ways:
→ Pre-approve: use it when you’re sure you want to host the traveler.
→ Write back: send a message to get to know the traveler better.
→ Decline: if you’re not interested in receiving the traveler.
Have in mind that most travelers have flexible dates, so instead of declining someone because of availability, you can pre-approve them for different dates by clicking on “Suggest other dates”.
You can exchange as many messages as you want with the traveler, but you have 4 days to send the first message. If you don’t answer in 4 days or less, the application expires.
When you’re sure you want to receive the traveler:
- Click on “Pre-approval”. Change the dates if you have to;
- The traveler will receive the pre-approval message and they’ll be able to confirm the trip.
