The purpose of the reviews is to show how everyone's experience was, as feedback to all Worldpackers members. It's a way for our members to contribute and regulate the community, leaving everyone informed of real opinions before confirming trips.
Reviews help maintain transparency, engagement, and responsibility within the Worldpackers community. In this article, we explain how no-show and last-minute cancellation reviews work, in which situations they apply, and when they can be removed.

1. How do no-show reviews work?
Hosts can choose to leave a "No-Show" review when a traveler doesn't show up for a confirmed experience and hasn't canceled the experience on the platform.
This review:
- Is public and appears on the traveler's profile as 1 star;
-
Prevents the traveler from writing a review about the experience, as it didn't happen.
2. How do last-minute cancellation reviews work?
Unlike no-show reviews, last-minute cancellation reviews are automatically generated and appear on the traveler's profile when an experience is canceled 7 days or less before the start date.
This review:
Appears publicly on the traveler's profile, indicating the number of experiences that were canceled within that period;
All hosts have access to this information and can ask the traveler directly about the incident to make the decision to accept the volunteer's application;
-
It does not prevent the traveler from continuing to apply for other experiences.
3. Removing a "No Show" Review
As a traveler
We understand that unexpected events can occur, and each situation is carefully analyzed.
A "no show" review can be removed as an exception when:
- The traveler provides our team with clear evidence that they showed up for the experience (e.g., photos on location, screenshots of conversations).
Once the evidence is presented, our team reviews it and:
- If the evidence proves attendance at the project, we will remove the "no show" review. If it is still within 15 days after the end of the experience, both parties will be able to write a review.
- If the evidence is inconclusive, we will contact the host to request their consent to remove the review. If the host confirms the traveler's attendance, even if partial, the review will be removed. If is still within 15 days after the end of the experience on the platform, both parties will be able to write a review.
If the host does not approve the removal and/or the traveler does not have evidence to show he/she did attend the experience, the "no-show" review will not be removed.

As a host
If the traveler attended the experience (even partially) and the host left a no-show review by mistake, the host can request its deletion by contacting our support team. We will be happy to assist with this.
If you delete a no-show review:
You and the traveler will be able to leave a written review with a star rating about the collaborative exchange you experienced (if it's within 15 days after the end of the experience on the platform);
-
Both reviews will only be visible after both parties have written it or after 15 days from the departure date on the platform, in accordance with our Review Policy.
5. Removing a Last-Minute Cancellation Review
A last-minute cancellation review can only be deleted when the reason for the cancellation is directly related to high-impact external situations, such as:
- Armed conflicts
- Natural disasters
- Unexpected government restrictions
In order for us to analyze the situation, you must submit a deletion request directly to our team through our support channel. Cancellations due to personal reasons, immigration issues, changes of plans, transportation delays, or communication difficulties will not be eligible for removal.
6. Important Note
Recurring no-shows and last-minute cancellations may result in the deactivation of your profile (whether you are a traveler or a host). According to our Terms of Use:
10.3.3 In the event of recurrence - 3 or more last-minute cancellations (made 30 days before the trip starts) within a year, the Worldpackers team will evaluate the situation and may deactivate the profile.
We know that unexpected events happen, but last-minute cancellations and no-shows can significantly affect the other party, as the traveler prepared to volunteer on the project, just as the host was counting on the traveler's help during that period. With this in mind, reviews are extremely important as they help prevent this type of situation and reinforce transparency and commitment within the community.
It's important to mention that our Community Experience team is available before, during, and after any experience. If you have questions or need help with a specific situation, don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to help! 💙
