I paid! When can I start applying?
Your plan will usually be activated immediately, but it may take a few hours depending on your financial institution’s processing times.
I paid but I still can't apply. What should I do?
The first step is to check that you’re logging in with the correct email and that you have an active plan.
If you forgot the password for your verified account, just click “Forgot password" on our homepage.
Then, verify your payment method: if the purchase has already been approved, it may take a few hours depending on your financial institution’s processing times.
Only members of our Trips and Pack plans can apply to positions. So if you’ve chosen our Academy plan, you’ll need to choose another plan to send messages to hosts and confirm trips.
My purchase was not approved. What should I do?
This is not something we have any control over, sorry! 😿
If this happens, we suggest contacting your bank or credit card company to request that they approve your transaction.
If you prefer, we also offer a PayPal payment option. To select this, just click the “PayPal” button at checkout, which is below the credit card information fields when choosing a plan.
If you live in Latin America, you can also pay with Ebanx. To do so, contact us telling which is your desired plan and we’ll send you a link to make the payment.
I don't have a credit card. How can I become a member?
You can pay with PayPal, or Ebanx if you live in Latin America.
The “PayPal” button at checkout is located below the credit card information fields when choosing a plan. To pay with Ebanx, contact us saying which is your desired plan and we’ll send you a link to make the payment!
The cardholder of the payment method does not need to be the owner of the WP account. So you can use a family member or friend’s card to become a member. 😄
I want to pay by boleto, but I don’t see that option. What should I do?
Payment by boleto is an option available only to Brazilians. If you can’t find it, make sure your nationality is set to “Brazil” in your profile settings.
If it’s not, you should be able to pay by boleto by changing this information. If this is your situation, you can change your nationality by clicking here.
I already paid by boleto, but my plan isn’t active yet.
Payment processing with boletos may take up to 3 business days, depending on your bank’s processing times. As soon as your payment clears, your plan will be activated automatically! ⭐
I chose to pay by boleto, but I’d rather pay with a credit card.
After your boleto request expires, it will be automatically canceled and you’ll be able to select credit card payments again.
If you’d like to cancel your boleto during this period, you can request our help and we’ll assist you with the process.
I paid by credit card but was double charged. What should I do?
This is a pretty uncommon error, but it may happen due to a payment processing failure when using a credit card.
If this happens, you can request our help and we’ll review your payment to understand if you were double charged, then refund one of the charges to your credit card.
I'd like to be a member, but I can't pay for a plan. Is there another option for me?
You’ll need to have an active plan on our platform to contact our hosts and apply to their positions. If that’s not possible for you right now, you can:
- Access the Traveling with Worldpackers track in our Academy;
- Learn from articles on our blog;
- Chat with other travelers in our community;
- Save the positions you’re most interested in to your wishlist so you can apply when you’re able.
Can I pay in installments?
Each plan has a unique value and is valid for 12 months, unless there is a current promotion.
For Brazilians, it is possible to pay in up to 12 installments with interests on the credit card, according to the country's payment models.
Are there any discounts on plan purchases?
Yes! When you enter a promo code you get from one of our Gurus, you’ll get a US $10 discount on your first purchase. 🤩
I applied one promo code, can I remove it and add another?
No. Once you’ve applied a promo code to your first purchase, it’s not possible to change it. But don’t worry, all of our promo codes give you the same discount! 🙌
I entered a promo code but I don't see a discount. What should I do?
Once applied to the first purchase on your account, your promo code will be valid for 3 months. After this time, it will automatically expire and you will no longer see the discount at checkout. If you can't see the discount after applying the promo code, please check that you entered it correctly, and if valid you’ll see the US $10 discount applied to your account immediately.
I don't understand the cost of the plan.
The cost of our plans is always in US dollars to keep things consistent between all of our members.
To avoid additional fees or unwanted charges due to currency conversion and fluctuation, your total cost will be shown on the payment page, which will be charged in the currency of your origin country.
This will let you know the exact price even before making a payment, without any surprises or changes in billing!
Are plans renewed automatically?
All of our plans have their own specific price and are valid for 12 months, except when we offer a special promotion. Plans are not renewed automatically.
After your plan expires, you will no longer be a verified member, so you can choose a new plan to become a member again and enjoy our entire platform! 💙
